Waking up in a strange yet seemingly familiar place, Eiden and Yakumo were challenged by a self-proclaimed "Demon King" to a battle that would decide the world's fate. That aside, it looked like all the people there were kemonomimi...?!

Gameplay Note: There is a total of 6 achievable outcomes, 3 of which are Named Endings with illustration(s). Please make your choice(s) carefully!

*This fangame is best enjoyed after experiencing "Mirage of Scales", "Misty Vale" and "Fanciful Capriccio"; as well as other canon content that features Yakumo (eg. intimacy rooms), though it's not as significant.

*Based on feedback, I have created a Guide for this fangame. To get the best experience, it is recommended to enjoy the game by yourself for at least one full run first and only look into this guide in case you are stuck somewhere.

you learnt a new program... made an entire script... made SPRITES... went outside your comfort zone (and reached out to other artists)...all to share your love of yakumo's unique "young immortal" problems/story?? YOU DID SO MUCH!!!! and now we get to enjoy all your efforts 😭
wonderful... more yakuei flavour for the world...! i've seen several people play this game (when their favourite character is not yakumo), so i hope that your story gives more people insight into yakumo and the yakuei dynamic 😊😊😊 maybe even some fondness??

i was a little sad when nothing special for yakumo came out for the New Year, but... hey, the nuca devs need rest too. I'll just think of how you filled in that void with the excellent timing of this game's release! We may not have a yakumo event right now, but we can enjoy half-snake yakuei in the meantime... :) :) :) :) :)

Hey, thanks a lot for liking the game and for the reaction post - I enjoyed reading it very much! The commentary was hilarious (there were illustrations too! I love that!) and I appreciate you spending time looking through the stuff I put in there by yourself even with a guide available (you found lil easter eggs too, like the random potions on the shelf which add nothing to the plot but I thought it will be funny :p)! Hearing people say the characters are indeed in character is like the highest compliment possible for me haha.

The estimate playtime can be deceptive (I estimated it based on my own playtime during beta-test, which is stupid of me because I *am* the developer, *of course* I’m speedrunning through it without any problem) and many people actually told me the same thing about how they expect the fangame to be short and cutesy, yet what they got was, well, what we made. Which is funny to me because even the game’s title was made to feed into that cutesy feeling just so I can caught you guys off guard (this is my sense of humour, but you already know that - you just experience like 4hrs of it) (it’s also a reference to modern long-ass novel’s title that basically sums up the whole plot).

I’m happy to know this fangame was meaningful to you in some way, and yes, the struggles is worth it! I have always loved games in general so being able to express my love and contribute to the fandom using game as a medium is like a dream comes true! I find both YakuEi and Yakumo to be incredibly interesting - the Nukani devs have written them with such depth I just hope I manage to convey a fraction of it. Gosh I love them so much.
